This and That

~ I love chocolate. I mean really! Don’t think I could go a day without it in some form.

~ My great-grandfather worked for the US Life Saving Service (old Coast Guard) in the outer banks. He helped the Wright Brothers drag test planes to the cliff and watched hundreds of flight attempts. He was on duty the day of the first flight.

~ The first romance novel I read was Kathleen Woodiwiss’s Shanna. Wow!

~ I’m hooked on LOST – Josh Hollaway, need I say more? But seriously, the storylines are off the hook! Also, Desperate Housewives – so much juicy fun!

~ I’m still not used to the really, really long New England winters.

~ My favorite vacation spot – anywhere tropcial. Soft, white sand, crystal blue water and drinks with neon colored straws and chunks of fruit.

~ I went to London two years ago. My first time in Europe. I loved it! The museums are amazing. And the Tower of London was very cool!

~ I once dated a guy who couldn’t handle sarcasm in any form. (Yeah, I know, whatever.) I thought he’d ruined me for life, but my husband assures me I’ve got it all back. Whew!

~ Whoever invented the stretch in stretch jeans should be awarded a lifetime supply of chocolate. Pure genius!

~ I’ve played the piano since I was 10. Not so much lately, deadlines are killer! I love playing classical pieces, but I don’t typically listen to classical music otherwise.

Biography

I’m a Virginia girl, born and raised so I’ll always feel like my heart is grounded in the south. But my husband is from the far north – I’m talking New England north – and now that I’ve lived here for a while, I can honestly say I love it here, too. It’s nice to have two homes. It just so happens that the south and north are both saturated with rich history so the creative side of my brain stays very happy. Trips to the Caribbean don’t hurt either. I can’t seem to go on vacation without coming home completely inspired.

Take a look around and drop me a line. I’d love to hear from you.

Sophie’s on the left, Max on the right. I don’t know why, but they seem to be confused. I must be asking them for plot advice.

What do you mean this is your office? This chair is perfect for squirrel watching.

Now this is inspiration! One of the many gorgeous beaches on St. Maarten.
